MISSION-2022

“ By 2022, through our teaching learning process the school will inculcate moral values of patriotism, tolerance, honesty, truthfulness and punctuality in the minds of our students for better global citizenship and to make them role models for the society.”

Welcome to Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Bolangir

It was a red lettered day in the history of school education of India when, in November 1962, the Government of India approved a scheme to provide educational facilities of a uniform standard throughout the country to the children of transferable Central Government Employees including Defence Personnel. As a first step towards implementation of the scheme, 20 schools then functioning in the Defence Stations were taken over to run as Central Schools in the year 1963. Two years later, the management of these schools was entrusted with the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body set up for the purpose. The number of these schools has risen to 1090  and they have come to be known as Pace Setters among the best schools in India.

VISION OF KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA

KVS envisions itself a world class organization in school education committed to continually empowering teachers to actualize inside out synergy in students and enable them to fulfill futuristic societal, national and global needs and aspirations.

MISSION OF KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA

The Kendriya Vidyalayas have a four - fold mission, viz.

  1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education
  2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education
  3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and
  4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indianness" among children.
